Staff Sergeant Bryan Patrick Stewart, Sr., 43, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2020.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Fairlane Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the church.

He was born on December 20, 1976, in Shelbyville, TN, to the late William Dwight Stewart, Sr., and Delbra Elease (Jaimie) Warren Stewart Gattica. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Henry and Jesse Ruth Sparrow Stewart, Maude Sheffield Warren Hall, and Charles Warren, and uncles, John H. Stewart, Jr., Curtis Warren, and Morris Warren. Bryan dedicated his life to the service of others. Including, but not limited to, firefighter/EMS worker in Shelbyville, TN, police officer for the City of Murfreesboro, TN, and served in the National Guard from 1997 until 2005. In early 2005, Bryan decided to join the US Army to better serve his country. He would have the opportunity to travel to numerous countries, states, and cities, up until his death. He was also a member of the George B. Swanston Military Lodge #144. Bryan was always seen with a smile on his face and was known for his boisterous laugh. He valued family and had a love for children. He had a passion for JEEPS , motorcycles, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bryan was a member of the Black Sabbath Motorcycle Club. His nickname was “Mayhem,” which reflected his adventurous and ambitious side.

He leaves to cherish his memory a beloved wife of 25 years, LaSonya Michelle Fulton Stewart, Franklin, TN; four sons, Octavius Tre’von Harris Stewart and Bryan Patrick Stewart, Jr., both of Cookeville, TN., Quavion Mandel Stewart, Shelbyville, TN, and Tavares Demahn (Emma) Stewart, Chesapeake, VA; one daughter, Kindell Monique (Shoshana) Stewart Rogers, Goldsboro, NC; four grandchildren, Kyleigh Sonaye Stewart, Amauri Demahn Ortiz-Stewart, La’Zariah Nicole Stewart, and Zy’Aire Armon Stewart, all of Shelbyville, TN; brothers, Kelly Lamar (Tynesha) Stewart, Lewisburg, TN, and William Dwight Stewart, Jr., Shelbyville, TN; four aunts, Carolyn Buckingham, Toyna (Keith) Chunn, Charlene Warren, and Susie Stewart, all of Shelbyville, TN; uncles, Jesse Warren, Asheville, TN, Robert Warren and Lee Warren, both of Shelbyville, TN, and Terry Warren, Tullahoma, TN; nephews, Darius Stewart, Murfreesboro, TN, and Eric Hill, Franklin, TN; nieces, Ariana (Kain) Campbell, Olympia,WA, LaSonya Hill and Nakiyah Woods, both of Franklin, TN, Mariah and Brianna Stewart, Lewisburg, TN; great aunts, Euraline “Aunt Nun” Sheffield, Tullahoma, TN, Francis Arnold, Lula M. Jordan, and Louise Sparrow, all of Shelbyville, TN, and Judy Spa
