Stormy Saturday to be followed by chill

More rain and thunderstorms will kick off the weekend Friday night and Saturday, Be sure and keep up with the latest weather information because there is a threat of severe storms across Tennessee Saturday due to very cold air that is going to be clashing with the unusually warm air over the state.
Much colder air will move in for Sunday and we could have a few snow showers. Temperatures by Monday morning and Tuesday morning could drop into the upper teens to low 20s.
Looking at all the weather data, here is what I think will probably happen the rest of the winter.
Another warming trend is probably going to come in for the middle of January but that is likely to be followed by much colder air around Jan. 20, The cold will probably extend into mid-February and I wouldn’t be surprised to get some really rough winter weather during those three to four weeks.
We were in a weather pattern just like this in 1984 in the last days of December. That was followed a month later by some of the coldest air ever in Tennessee so we have to watch for something like that.
