A man was charged with stealing two cell phones from his girlfriend at an Old Columbia Road home Saturday.
George Holder allegedly hit the woman in the back with a board before leaving. Holder later called law enforcement saying he had run into woods, but as of Monday had not been found.
Holder has been charged with theft of property and aggravated domestic assault.
Drug charge
Cocaine was confiscated Saturday from near a man found behind a daycare center.
Sam Avery Wilhoite, 65, who police say is homeless, was near the HVAC units behind Barnyard Kids, Bethany Lane, police said. The cocaine was on top of a unit.
Wilhoite denied knowledge of any of the items and said he was trying to get out of the wind to smoke. He was charged with possession of a schedule 2 drug and paraphernalia and held on $$,000 bond.
