I was screwing around on a video chat room called Omegle one night last week, but I never showed my face. I had a major trust issue, especially after all of the web horror stories my mom has told me. But anyway, I ended up chatting with a very pretty girl that I had never seen before. She was in a dark room, the light of her computer dimly illuminating the room.

We talked about a lot of things, mostly our school grades, and how our days were. But then it ended up getting personal, talking about our love lives, and who we hated.

It was fun. almost. But then it got a bit strange.

I remember her typing on screen, "Can you turn on your camera?"

"Nah," I typed back.

Again she typed, "Will you please turn on your camera?" This time, her expression seemed a bit more anxious.

I wouldn't budge. "Nope."

The girls face only got more angry, and in a demanding tone, she typed, "Turn on your camera"

Worried now, I typed back. "No"

After a hesitant moment, she replied, "Turn on your camera. Now"

I had become annoyed at this point and tried to skip her, but I couldn't. My cursor was frozen. I tried everything, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to move. Then, the cursor raced across the screen in zigzag patterns by itself.

Frightened, I tried to type, but no words came onto the screen. I had felt like I was hacked. Hands trembling, I turned on the camera in defeat, because I knew there was the only thing I could do.

"There, are you happy now?!" I frowned to prove my point.

The girl blacked out her screen for a moment and when she returned, she had a slap-happy smile on her face. Too happy. It seemed disturbing, in a way. "Look at your chat." She mouthed. Not wanting to upset this girl anymore, I remember looking over to the chat. She was rapidly firing messages at me, saying "Don't look up. Whatever you do, don't look. Not until I tell you to."

Frightened out of my skull, I didn't look. I wouldn't dare. Her screen turned black, and I began to wonder what was going on.

"Look."

I looked at her camera. She had a smile on her face, the same shuddersome, threatening smile. I looked in the background of her screen, and noticed a strange figure in the shadows. But right as I had noticed it, the girl began rapidly typing again.

"Don't look up. Whatever you do, don't look. Not until I tell you to."

Once again, her screen turned black.

I looked, but to my horror I saw two figures instead of one. Then it hit me. They were closer. Unfortunately, I couldn't see their faces, but I could tell they were trying to hide themselves from view.

The girl, however, had a horrified look on her face. She didn't dare move.

The same process as before happened, but when I looked at her screen for the third time, I saw three figures mostly into the light. I could tell there were three men, the middle wearing a black hat with a scythe stitched in.

She looked like she might cry. I began to freak out,my jaw dropping. The man lifted his hat, but only to reveal a sly smile. But just as I did so, her camera turned black. I stared in horror for the next few moments, watching the flickering black screens turn on and off again. I saw the man begin to choke her. Black. When it turned on again, there wasn't anyone there. I tried scanning her screen, but I gave up in defeat. Someone began typing.

"Why don't you look at your screen." I read.

Hesitantly, I looked in the background of my camera.

I screamed.
