Three hurt as motorcycles collide

Three people were injured when two motorcycles crashed Saturday afternoon on Red Hill Road near Normandy.
Travis and Tiffany Seibers, both 33, of Shelbyville, were seriously injured in a collision with a motorcycle operated by Michael Owens, 38, of Shelbyville, said Trooper Nathan Archer of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
“Both were northbound on Red Hill Road,” Archer said. “Owens was in front and Seibers was behind. Owens slowed, Travis Seibers couldn’t slow down in time and rear-ended him.”
Travis and Tiffany Seibers were each airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in separate helicopters. Both were in critical but stable condition, Archer said, and were conscious and talking to medical personnel at the scene.
Owens suffered a concussion and leg injury and was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital, Archer said.
Drug arrests
Traffic stops by Shelbyville police in the North Main Street area led to five drug arrests.
•Ashley Blair Chappell, 38, of Brooklyn Circle was arrested Friday night for possession of schedule II, III and IV drugs.
Chappell was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on North Main Street, a report said. She allegedly pulled a pill bottle containing Fentanyl, crack cocaine, Suboxone and Xanax from her clothing on arrival at Bedford County Jail.
She was charged with two counts of possession of a schedule II drug, possession of schedule III and IV drugs and paraphernalia, third offense DUI and second offense driving on a revoked license. and held on $85,000 bond.
•Two Florida residents were arrested on drug charges Friday after marijuana was found in their vehicle by Shelbyville police.
Sharod Daevon Washington, 18, and Sha Genie Chanel Washington, 20. both of Bradenton, Florida, were charged with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were in a vehicle owned by a Shelbyville relative and stopped after Sharod Washington was clocked at 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on North Main Street, police said. He was also charged with speeding and driving without a license.
Sharod Washington posted $3,500 bond and Sha Genie Washington $2,000 bond.
•A hand-rolled cigar containing marijuana and a small marijuana bud were found in a truck by Shelbyville police during a traffic stop Friday morning on North Main Street, a report said.
Zachary Wilson Youngblood, 21, of Bottle Hollow Road was charged with driving on a revoked license (third offense), speeding (49 in a 30 mph zone), financial responsibility, and simple possession. Youngblood posted $6,000 bond.
•Marijuana was found in a vehicle driven by a Kentucky woman after a police officer allegedly saw her run a traffic light at the Madison Street-North Main Street intersection.
Kaeona R. Nichols was cited for simple possession of a schedule VI drug and running a red light.
Thefts
•A witness saw from a distance someone steal a cell phone from the unoccupied back porch of a home in a Belmont Avenue apartment complex Saturday night.
Also reported to area authorities:
•A leaf blower and Weedeater were stolen between Thursday and Sunday from the bed of a pickup truck at Walmart.
•Eight packs of cigarettes were taken from a Sims Road residence over the weekend, police were told Sunday.
•The theft of $800 fron a Brooklyn Circle home was reported Saturday, police said.
A suspect who has access to the home was named.
