Mrs. Vera Sue Hoover, 75, of Shelbyville went to be with the Lord Friday, September 16, 2022.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pastor Loyd Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m.
Vera was born in Bedford County October 2, 1946. She was a graduate of Wartrace High School; a retired employee of Bedford County, and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Vera was a loving wife, mother and daughter. She loved the Lord and her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley B. and Eula Mae Anderson Floyd; her beloved husband, Luther Glen Hoover; siblings, Kenneth (Margaret) Floyd, McKinley Floyd, Owen (Tammy) Floyd, Martha Floyd, Etta Mae (Roy) Cook and Vicky Floyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Hoover of Shelbyville; siblings, Jane (Ricky) Lamb of Unionville, Annette (Doug) Warren of Shelbyville, Danny (Rhonda) Floyd of Flat Creek, Ricky (Charlotte) Floyd of Shelbyville and Patsy Franklin of Shelbyville.
Donations may be made in her memory to Victory Baptist Church or Victory Baptist Academy.
