LYNCHBURG – The Community Viking front line of Kobe Pride and Corde Lane combined for 37 points as the Vikings made it back-to-back wins with a 77-50 victory over the Moore County Raiders in a basketball tilt Friday night.

It took some time for the Vikings to hit their stride. Community (8-0) had six players score its 16 first quarter points, but the Vikings only led 16-13 at the end of the quarter.

Community started to find some openings inside in the second quarter. Pride netted 10 points and Lane had four as the Vikings outscored the Raiders 21-13 and took a 37-26 lead into halftime.

Pride had six field goals and 12 points while Lane added four as the Vikings increased their lead in the third quarter. Community outscored Moore County 18-14 and led 55-40 with one quarter to play.

Eight players scored as the Vikings had their biggest offensive quarter. The Vikings scored 22 points while holding the Raiders to 10 as Community won its eighth straight game of the season.

Pride scored 27 points while Lane added 10 to lead the Vikings.

Riley Holman scored 13 points to lead Moore County.
