SEVIERVILLE — Competing among the best in the Division II Class A state tournament, the Webb School was led by a trio of Browns to the team’s fourth-place finish.
Webb shot a combined 619 score through the two-day event and finished just a stroke behind third-place finisher Clarksville Academy.
CAK won the tournament with a final score of 593, beating second-place finisher Trinity Christian by 20 strokes.
It was the usual cast of suspects that led the way for Webb, highlighted by senior Conner Brown’s final competition for the Feet.
He shot a two-day score of 145 and finished fifth individually to conclude his career for Webb.
Brown had a strong finish to the first day of competition and following a double bogey on Hole 12, rallied to shoot even, including birdies on 15 and 17, to finish with a 70 on the first day.
He followed up with a 75 on the second day to round out his 145.
Eli Brown, an eighth-grader for Webb, finished just five places back with a 153, good enough to tie for 10th overall.
He shot a 78 on the first day and improved his overall standing by dropping three strokes for his second day score.
Noah Brown turned in a 77 on the first day of competition and followed with an 83 to finish with a 160, while freshman Andrew Reeves finished a stroke back at 161.
Preston Hall was the final player for Webb to compete in the boys tournament and finished with a 173.
