BELL BUCKLE - Shanice Simpson-Whitely and Lashae Dwyer combined for 34 points to lead the Webb Lady Feet to the Div. II District 3-A tournament championship over PCA on Saturday.

Webb held PCA to single figures in the first and third quarters and held on to claim the 57-48 victory.

It was the senior duo of Simpson-Whitely and Dwyer that led the Lady Feet to the first-ever district title.

The two scored early and often as Webb built a 10-6 lead.

PCA matched Webb's 14 points in the second quarter as the Lady Feet clung to a four-point halftime lead.

Simpson-Whitely helped Webb put some distance on the scoreboard with eight of the team's 14 third-quarter points.

Webb tacked on 19 more in the fourth quarter, but saw the bulk of the production come at the free throw line.

As a team, the Lady Feet sank 12-of-18 tries in the quarter, with Lauren Vann making good on a perfect six-of-six tries in the quarter.

Throughout the game, the Lady Feet made 19-of-29 attempts at the charity stripe.

While Webb placed three in double figures and were led by Simpson-Whitely's 18 points, it was PCA's Abby McFarland that posted a game-high 20 points in the contest.

Webb was scheduled to begin region play this week, however wintry weather has since postponed the tournament.
