Mr. William Elliott Green, age 81, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at his home under the loving care and comfort of his family and Hospice Compassus.
Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Reverend Jeff Rasnick will officiate.
The family will receive visitors 12 noon – 1 PM Sunday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
He was born January 17, 1940, in Manchester, to the late Lonnie Edward and Susie Addean Burks Green.
He was retired from Eaton Corporation after 34 years of service, where he was Quality Manager of 30 of those years. A graduate of Wartrace High School, his previous work experience included Coey Tanning in Wartrace. He held membership in American Legion Post 43, was a member of the Tennessee National Guard, and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Green.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Nichols Green; sons, Jeffrey Todd Green, and his wife Jamie, Matthew Kirk Couser, and his wife Hope, Harold Keith Couser, and his wife Angie, and Karl David Couser; a daughter, Paula Renee Green; brothers, Eddie Green, and his wife Jackie, and James Green, and his wife Jean; grandchildren, Rylan, Lainey, Heath and his wife Savannah, Maddie, Hudson, Emily, Evan, John, David, Ally, and Payton.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
