Mr. Bobby Thomas Phillips, known locally as “Can Man”, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at his home, under the loving care and comfort of his family and Avalon Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton, West Virginia.
Bobby was born November 11, 1938, in Marlinton, West Virginia, to the late Fred Thomas and Mabel Mona Hoover Phillips. He was well known about town as he pulled his green wagon gathering aluminum cans from the homes and businesses of his many friends.
Survivors include a sister, Janet M. Scott, of Shelbyville; brothers, Randy J. Phillips, of Shelbyville, and Bill Phillips, and his wife Pat, of West Virginia.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
