After an unbeaten run in the regular season district slate, the Cascade Champions entered the postseason on a high note, blasting Fayetteville City, 5-1, on Tuesday night.
It didn't take long for the fireworks to start as Ivan Draine notched the game's first goal.
The Tigers answered barely two minutes later and knotted the game at one apiece.
From there, Cascade settled in and a strike off the toe of senior Anthony Carpenter, put Cascade up, 2-1.
The Champions fired home two more first-half scores, a seventh-minute score by Pablo Solares and a goal in the 34th minute by Drake Hodge.
Solares found his second score of the night in the 51st minute for the final goal of the match.
The win advances Cascade to the District 6-A finals against Community on Thursday night.
In two previous meetings this season, Cascade claimed a 4-1 win and a 7-0 victory over the Vikings.
The match is set for a 4:30 p.m. start at Cascade.
