Mr. Clarence Elbert Adcock, Jr., age 76, of Unionville, Tenn., died Thursday, July 6, 2023, following an extended illness. Born in Bedford County, Clarence was the son of the late Clarence Elbert Adcock, Sr. and Clara Hester Adcock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired truck driver and a member of the Clay Hill United Methodist Church. Clarence loved being with his family, working in the hay field with his grandson, and just helping people. He especially loved helping his wife of 57 years, Ms. Diane.
Survived by his wife, Diane Adcock of Unionville; a daughter, Kristin (Thomas) Cobble of Shelbyville; a son, Mike Adcock of Unionville; a sister, Connie (Dean) Pugh of Shelbyville; two grandchildren, Jacob (Carissa) Adcock and Lillya Adcock.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services were Monday, July 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Carlton Cemetery in the Clay Hill community of Marshall County.
