Shelbyville Central's Golden Eagles dropped a pair of high scoring games to Tullahoma this week in District 8-AAA action.

The Eagles play Marshall County on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at Coffee County County.

A late comeback effort fell short as the Eagles scored nine runs over the last three innings but spotted the Wildcats too many earlier in the game.

Colton Emory blasted a home and two singles to lead Tullahoma at the plate.

D.J. Dillehay ripped a triple While Jaxon Sheffield, Jacob Dixon and Brody Melton each added a double for Tullahoma.

Griffin collected a double and two singles to lead Shelbyville Central at the plate. A.J. Parker and Logan Roberts each doubled while Brady O'Neal added two singles for Shelbyville Central.

The Wildcats claimed the two-game sweep in a high scoring contest with a combined 24 hits, each team with 12.

The Eagles led 13-9 after scoring seven runs in the top of the fifth inning but Tullahoma rallied for five runs over the final three frames.

Jacob Dixon had the game-winning hit and RBI scoring Evan Tomlin in the bottom of the seventh.

Hunter Wilhelm ripped a triple, Brady O'neal and A.J. Parker each had a double and a pair of singles, while Raine Sims collected three hits for the Eagles.

D.J. Dillehay led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run, Jaxon Sheffield banged a triple, Dixon added a double while Joe Duncan contributed a double and single for the winners.
