Eagles struggle against Falcons

FAYETTEVILLE – Shelbyville Central started slow and couldn’t get on track in a 64-24 District 8-AAA loss on Friday night.

The Eagles (4-16, 2-5) fell behind 16-5 at the close of the first quarter, trailed 38-12 by halftime and faced a 55-16 deficient going into the fourth quarter.

Poor shooting hampered Shelbyville Central as the Eagles only connected on 2-of-24 3-point shots.

They struggled at the free throw line as well making only 6-of-14.

Adam Suszczynski led the Falcons with 11 points while Ethan Sticker and Michael Gill contributed 10 points each.

Hayden Cook came in off the bench and led the Eagles with eight markers.

Lincoln County cashed in on 12-of-16 attempts from the foul line.

Shelbyville Central hosts Lawrence County tonight at 7:30.
