MANCHESTER - Some timely hitting backed a stellar outing by Lady Champion pitcher Brianna Horn on Friday night against Tullahoma.
Horn spun a two-hit shutout and Cascade was able to claim the 3-0 victory over Tullahoma.
She went the distance for Cascade and didn't allow a baserunner until Tullahoma capitalized on back-to-back errors in the fourth.
The Lady Wildcats didn't record a hit until a double in the fifth.
Still, Cascade took advantage of its chances and plated the game's first run when Lani Jones tagged up and scored from third on a sacrifice fly.
The Lady Champs tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the fifth frame when Baylee Gipson safely reached via error.
She eventually advanced to third base and scored on a RBI single by Jones.
Cenzie McAnally drove in Gipson on the final score of the night.
McAnally went 3-for-3 to lead Cascade, while Jones added a pair of base hits and two runs scored as well.
Horn kept the basepaths clear for the most part and struck out six while not issuing a single walk.
Cascade returns to action on Tuesday night at Fayetteville before hosting Shelbyville on Wednesday for Senior Night.
