Mr. James Neeley Brown, age 81, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Brother Rick Stephens will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors 4 - 8 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at the funeral home.
He was born November 29, 1941, in Bedford County, to the late Grady Estill and Ruby Craig Brown. He was retired from Tyson Foods, and was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Faye Brown, in 2019, and a sister, Charlotte Pilkington.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Bauman and a son, Jeff Brown, and his wife Cindy; a brother, Roger Kelly, and his wife Debbie, and a sister, Wanda Scott; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Anna) Brown, Tabitha King, Kayla (Keith) Piar, and Blake (Karleigh) Brown; great grandchildren, Rylee Brown, Austin Brown, Sadie King, Attley King, Alivia Brown, Bentley Piar, and Benjamin Piar.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
