Jerry Eugene Sissom, 79, of Estill Springs died Saturday, December 31, 2022.
A Celebration Of Life service will be held Thursday, January 5, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Per his request he will be cremated.
He was born February 27, 1943 in Bedford County and was former co-owner of David & Jerry’s Auto Parts of Shelbyville. He watched all sports, was an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols; loved porch sitting with his friends and watching the fish weigh-ins at Woods Reservoir. Fishing was his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayburn Eugene Sissom and Martha Curtis Helmick. He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Gail (Jason) Carter of Shelbyville, Cristy Satchwill of Portland, and grandchildren, Kloey Carter, Joshua Gannon and Justin Irby.
