Mr. L. D. Mangrum, age 95, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday, January 7, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bobby McGee will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born May 7, 1927, in Nashville to the late Lawrence Dillard and Irene Ledford Mangrum.
He was retired from American Can Company. A former member of the United States Coast Guard, he was a faithful member of Edgemont Baptist Church..
In addition to his parents., he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Mangrum; daughter in law, Becky Mangrum; brothers and sisters, Winford Mangrum, Jerel Mangrum, Jessie Oakley, and Rita Rodgers.
Survivors include a son, David Mangrum, and his wife, Teresa, of Shelbyville, and a daughter, Melissa Arnold, and her husband Marcus, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Tricia Mangrum, Benjamin Arnold, and his wife Mary, Cassidy Arnold, and Stacy Arnold; four great-grandchildren.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
