Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library will be returning to curbside-only services through mid-January due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in Bedford County and in light of Gov. Bill Lee’s recent address.
Computer use will be available by appointment only with a 1-hour time limit per day and a limit of 4 patrons in the computer lab at a time. Patrons wishing to use the computers will have their temperatures taken as they enter and are asked to wear masks and use hand sanitizer. Appointments may be made by calling the library at 931-684-7323 or by emailing questions.sbcplibrary@gmail.com.
Book requests may be made by calling the library or visiting its website, sbcplibrary.org and filling out the request form on the homepage. Curbside hours will be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. during this time period. When you arrive at the library for your pickup, call or ring the doorbell for service.
The library board and staff will reevaluate the county’s covid-19 situation before January 16 with the hope to be able to reopen to Phase 3 protocol on January 18, 2021.
