Five-year-old Malachi Farmer has new wheels.
Malachi was featured recently in the Times-Gazette, because he was sad about someone stealing his bike - one his mom, Ashley, said was a Christmas present.
The Disney-themed bike was picked up from their home, his mom reported to Shelbyville Police.
Due in part to some very caring T-G readers, Malachi's bike has been replaced. The 5-year-old was needless-to-say quite happy when got to ride it for the first time. One of the contributors even assembled it for him. Some others bought accessories.
Malachi was scheduled this week to have stents placed in his lungs at Vanderbilt, due to chronic asthma.
His mother thanks those who contributed to the purchase of his new wheels. The single mom says she is truly grateful to see her son happy.
Now, whether Malachi will be sharing with his big sister is another story.
