Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Taylor, age 91, of Winchester, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her home, under the loving care and comfort of her family and Avalon Hospice.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Brother Chris Nowlin will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12 noon.
Margaret was born February 15, 1931, in Bedford County, to the late Arthur Lee Homer Lentz and Lilly Mae Cook Lentz. A retired teacher, she touched the lives of many children throughout her 38 years of teaching. She loved gardening, horses, the Tennessee Vols, and most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and a member of Decherd Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Dugan Taylor, and two sons, Don Taylor and Glenn Taylor.
Survivors include two daughters, Cyndie Taylor, of Winchester, and Mary (Warren) Gilbert, of Tullahoma; a son, Mark (Lynda) Taylor, of Bell Buckle; four granddaughters: Fancee Taylor Spence, Jenny (Cane) Reed, Emily (Jim) Gilbert Blue, and Anna Gilbert; and seven great-grandchildren: Jaydin Spence, Jaylee Spence, Jaxtin Spence, Averee Claira Faulk, Owen Reed, Jack Reed, and James Blue.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
