Michael Eugene Forrester, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2022, at Vanderbilt Hospital surrounded by his family.
Michael was born January 10, 1955, in Denver, Colorado to the late Frances Naomi Forrester and Bedford Hamilton Forrester.
Michael was a graduate of SCHS class of 1973 and attended TCAT. He worked as a machine operator at Eaton Corporation and Schneider Electric for the majority of his career. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his Harley and taking his late companion Kathryn York out for dinner. He will always be remembered for his sweet personality and his joking nature.
He is survived by his children, Frances (Doug) Simpson and Shanna Fanning; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Dakota Simpson of Wartrace; sister, Sharon (Bob) Feehrer; nephew, Nathan (Krista) Snyder; and niece, April (Bob) Chapman all of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held prior to funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.
