Michael Jay Chaney, 55. of Shelbyville died July 17, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Jimmy West officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Harrison Chaney and Mary Louise Walker Chaney; a grandson, Bentley Claxton; sister, Teresa Starnes and brother, Ronnie Chaney.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Lynn Chaney; his children, Tamara (Larry) Claxton, Aaron Chaney and Eric (Kaytlin) Chaney; brothers and sisters, Ricky Ramsey, Peggy (Terry) Preston, Lewis Chaney; nine grandchildren, Keegan Chaney, Kimerson Chaney, Kylee Bowen, Elijah Claxton, Benjamin Claxton, Emily Chaney, Cire Chaney, Kaiilyn Garza and several nieces and nephews.
