LAWRENCEBURG - Points were hard to come by for Shelbyville Central's Golden Eaglettes in a 56-38 loss to Lawrence County on the road in the opening round of the District 8-AAA Tournament on Monday night.
The loss ends the season for the Eaglettes (10-11).
Shelbyville Central trailed 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, 23-13 at halftime and 43-26 going into the fourth stanza.
Katie Criswell led the winners with 14 points.
Chloe Willis followed with 13, Madison Tidwell netted 11 while Carson Gobble contributed 10.
Freshman Paige Blackburn led the Eaglettes with 14 points.
