LYNCHBURG – After putting up their highest scoring output of the season the night before, the Community Viqueens had a hard time finding shots to fall on the road as the Viqueens fell to the Moore County Raiderettes 65-26 in a basketball contest Friday night.

An Aleah Wilson three-pointer was the highlight of the opening quarter for the Viqueens as the Raiderettes took a 14-7 lead.

Community (4-4) could only muster four points in the second quarter. Three of the points came on a trey by Breanna Whitaker as Moore County outscored the Viqueens 17-4 and took a 31-11 lead into the intermission.

It was a tough offensive third quarter for the Viqueens. Community failed to score from the field and could only manage three free throws as the Raiderettes netted 11 points and led 42-14 heading to the final quarter.

M.J. Simmons scored four points as Community connected for 12 points in the quarter. It was not enough to offset a 23-point Raiderette quarter.

Simmons led the Viqueens with seven points.

Erica Clifton scored 18 points to lead Moore County as 12 Raiderettes scored in the game.
