Randall Eugene “Randy” Cunningham, age 62, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Monday, January 30, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born March 3, 1960, in Nashville, Randy was the son of the late Bobby and Polly Tucker Cunningham. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michal Faith Moon.
Randy worked as a parts manager with Shelbyville Public Works for the past 12 years. He wasn’t idle in nature; having a shop at home, he used it in many facets. Working and tinkering on cars, tractors or anything that needed a tune up he always kept his hands busy. Maintaining and upgrading his home and property also brought him joy, but his favorite thing to do was to aggravate family and friends (in a fun way). He was a member of Longview Baptist Church.
He is survived by: loving wife of 20 years, Lori Denise Baugher Cunningham; children, Andrew (Tay) Cunningham of the Wheel community, Brandon (Emily) Franklin of Jonesboro and Joshua Franklin of Nashville; grandchildren, Logan, Angel, MaKenzie, Vaden, Tess, Ali, Aubree, Malachi, Jacey and Kyrie; sisters, Nancy (Mark) Belluci of Connecticut, Carolyn (Terry) Cook of Wartrace and Barbara (Mark) Floyd of Wartrace; also many nieces and nephews.
Randy and his daughter, Michal Faith, passed a little over a month apart. The family will have a joint Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, at Longview Baptist Church with Brother Jonathan Osterhaus officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the church.
Michal Faith Moon passed away at home in Clearwater, Florida on December 27, 2022, after a brief illness.
She was born in Shelbyville, on July 11, 1983, to the late Randy Cunningham and Angela Boyce Cunningham.
Faith is survived by partner Chad Moon; son Vaden Moon; daughters Bree and Jacelyn Moon; stepmother Lori Cunningham; brother Andrew Cunningham and wife Taziah, stepbrothers Joshua Franklin and Brandon Franklin and wife Emily; grandparents Larry and Linda Boyce; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Angela Boyce Cunningham and grandparents Bobby Cunningham and Polly Tucker.
Faith worked as a registered nurse and was always busy. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going to the beach.
