Robie Allan Groves, age 43, of Shelbyville, passed from this life Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Doak Howell Funeral Home. Per Robie’s request he will be cremated following services.
Born on February 16, 1980, in South Bend, Ind., Robie was the son of Lane Allen Groves and Gina Marie Walls who survives. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Kent Groves and Ernest & Virginia Walls.
Robie worked as a contractor specializing in residential and commercial construction, he owned and operated Rob’s Construction. He was a mostly private individual but enjoyed activities with family and friends; such as, bowling, driving go-karts, eating, fishing, and watching sporting events.
Along with his parents, survivors include, companion, Shontelli Allen; children, Ember Groves of Fla., Diamond Groves, Kylee Groves, and Cayden Groves all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Aria Hamilton and Jaylen Potuk; grandparents, Carol Groves and Earl Holmes; siblings, Aaron (Ashley) Talbot, and Jeremey (Renelle) Groves, both of Ind.
