‘Stuff the Bus’ underway

United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive will be in full swing this month. This drive has been going on for a number of years, and the collected school supplies are given to the school system for distribution by individual schools to students who need them. Any supplies collected in Bedford County will be distributed through the Bedford County School System and individual schools.

School supplies can be dropped off between now and July 28 at the following Shelbyville locations:

  • First Community Bank of Tennessee’s Main Office at 207 Elm St., the Airport Branch at 2841 Hwy 231 North, and the Madison Street Branch at 1051 Madison Street.
  • Heritage South Community Credit Union at 763 N. Main St.
  • Deb Insell State Farm Insurance at 923 N. Main St.
  • Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library at 220 South Jefferson St.
  • Bedford County Courthouse at 1 Public Sq. in Shelbyville

Or, you can stop by the “Stuff the Bus” event from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. between July 29 and 30 at Walmart, 1880 N. Main St. in Shelbyville.
