A wave of utility trailer thefts continues in Bedford County, Five more were taken over the Memorial Day weekend in Shelbyville and Bedford County, law enforcement agencies reported.
•A lock was cut to remove a utility trailer from a home in the 1000 block of Horse Mountain Road between 2:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Shelbyville police said.
A neighbor told Shelbyville police someone in a red SUV pulled into the driveway and cut the trailer’s lock with bolt cutters,
•Two utility trailers were stolen between 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday from the front yard of a home in the 700 block of Frank Martin Road.
•A utility trailer containing a pressure washer was taken from outside a home in the 1200 block of New Herman Road between Wednesday and Saturday.
•Noise outside an Amos Smith Drive residence alerted the owner of a utility trailer from his yard around 11:10 p.m. Friday.
