Mrs. Wanda Lee Scott, age 73, of Chapel Hill, died Thursday evening, Aug. 11, 2022 in Columbia. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2022 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Talley-Moore Cemetery in Maury County.
Wanda was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Floyd and Gladys Hester Howard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Dell Scott, who died in 2015, and a daughter, Brandie Scott.
Mrs. Scott was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, TN and was a homemaker and child care provider. She was a graduate of Forrest High School, Class of 1967. Wanda enjoyed quilting, puzzles, collecting anything “Pigs”, and especially loved hosting her yearly chili supper on Halloween. Most of all, Wanda loved and enjoyed her family and many friends.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her children, Roxanne (Scott) Broadaway, Lewisburg, James (Lee Ann) Scott, Lewisburg; grandchildren, P. J. Broadaway, Nathan Broadaway, Gracie Broadaway, Katherine (Will) Southerland, Meghin Scott, Sydney Scott; great grandchildren, Levi Osborne, Taylor Osborne, Houston Southerland, Oaklyn Steagall; and her loving canine companion, Nippy.
