On Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wartrace will take on a strawberry-theme during its annual Strawberry Festival—an event sure to celebrate all things strawberry organized by Wartrace Chamber of Commerce.
Set in historic downtown Wartrace, the Chamber is hosting a variety of vendors, who will be selling their arts and crafts, baked goods, decor, boutique clothing, pottery, canned goods and handmade items. Admittance is free.
There will be a kids’ zone, food trucks, frozen treats, and the town promises to have fresh strawberries for sale by local farmers from the surrounding areas. It’s first come, first served, by the way.
The Chamber is asking everyone to wear a strawberry-themed costume and join the Wartrace Strawberry Parade, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Line up for the parade begins at 10:15 a.m., at the Dollar General.
A strawberry bake-off will also be held at noon. Participants may enter fruits, jams and jellies for the chance to win a prize!
See Wartrace Chamber of Commerce on Facebook and on their website to obtain more information about the day’s events and how to enter the contests.
