Middle Tennessee women's basketball will travel to St. Josephs, Missouri this December to take on Kansas State in the 2024 Bill Snyder Women's Basketball Classic presented by Southern Bank on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Civic Arena. "We have a lot of sports momentum on several levels in St. Joseph right now and to have the honor of once again hosting Division I Women's Basketball between two programs that won a combined 56 games last season including each winning a game in the NCAA Tournament will be an absolute thrill and must ticket come this December," said Brett Esely, Executive Director of the St. Joseph Sports Commission.

Legendary former K-State football coach and College Football Hall of Famer Bill Snyder was born in St. Joseph and lived there until his graduation from Lafayette High School. Snyder's college resume speaks for itself, but the connection to his hometown remains strong as well. He was a 2021 inaugural member of the St. Joseph Area Sports Hall of Fame and has remained involved with future enshrinement ceremonies as he presents the Snyder Women of Impact Award on an annual basis.

"We are excited for the opportunity to play Kansas State in the Bill Snyder Classic," head coach Rick Insell said. "Any time you get the chance to play a top-15 program is exciting. We're looking forward to the challenge and the experience in St. Josephs, Missouri."

This will mark the fourth all-time meeting between MTSU and Kansas State. The Wildcats own a 2-1 series advantage. The Blue Raiders won the most recent matchup 63-49 at the 2010 UTSA Holiday Classic in San Antonio, Texas, while K-State won the first two meetings 54-53 in Murfreesboro in 2001 and 79-61 in Manhattan, Kansas in 2002.

The 2024-25 Blue Raiders return three of their five All-Conference USA performers, including CUSA Defensive Player of the Year Anastasiia Boldyreva, in addition to sharpshooter Jalynn Gregory and guard Ta'Mia Scott.
