A Shelbyville minister has been charged with sexual battery following allegations by a local physical therapist. Paul Mullikin, 64, pastor of First United Methodist Church, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Shelbyville Police Department detectives.

A Shelbyville minister has been charged with sexual battery following allegations by a local physical therapist.
Paul Mullikin, 64, pastor of First United Methodist Church, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Shelbyville Police Department detectives.
“Investigators were contacted on Feb. 25 by an employee of a local physical therapist office who reported Mullikin groped her while he was receiving physical therapy,” the SPD said in a press release. “After investigating the alleged offense, detectives charged Mullikin with one count of sexual battery.”
Mullikin was taken into custody without incident and posted $20,000 bond at Bedford County Jail.
