Charles Andrew Garrett, age 67, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson Hospital in Lebanon.
Mr. Charles Andrew Garrett was born July 9, 1957, in Shelbyville, to late Dorothea Mae Scott Garrett and Jethro Hall. He departed this life Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Vanderbilt Wilson Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Charles attended Shelbyville Central High School. Afterward he started work with Stanley Tools until the corporation discontinued services. He then worked at several other locations until he retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George “Rooster” Garrett and Henry “Hucky” Garrett, and a beloved sister, Mary “Tiny” Garrett.
Survivors include a brother, James Lawson Garrett; a sister, Doris Ann Garrett; and a beloved niece, Tonesha “Nikki” Garrett.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, a very loving and affectionate wife, Sarah Buchanan Garrett. The two of them have been together since November 3, 1973, and remained together until Charles’ departure.
Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday, August 3, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mitchell Buchanan will officiate, with burial to follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors 11 AM until service Saturday at the funeral home.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
