Jamie Denise Ray Casteel, age 44, of Shelbyville, TN, passed from this life Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Born May 2, 1976, in Shelbyville, TN, she was the daughter of Ricky "Dick" Ray and Judith Thorneberry Ray. Jamie enjoyed reading and playing with her cats. She loved her family and spending time with them.
She is survived by: husband of 21 years, Paul Casteel of Shelbyville; parents, Ricky "Dick" Ray and Judith Throneberry Ray; daughters, Kristen Casteel, Hannah Casteel and Alyssa Casteel all of Shelbyville; sister, Lisa Garret of Shelbyville; mother-in-law, Rosie Dunnavant; grandchildren, Kadaleena Wentzel, Samuel Wentzel and one on the way, Seraphina Johnston.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, prior to funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
