Defenders of Freedom & Liberty hosted a 9/11 observance Friday morning at VFW Post 5019 Shelbyville, TN. County Mayor Curt Cobb and 9/11 responder Dave Rogers of Cooking with a Veteran were the featured speakers. "Taps" was played, and law enforcement officers rang a bell to remember 9/11 first responders.

Rogers discussed his long history with the World Trade Center, which he visited as a child, his work at Ground Zero.

See the 9/10 Times-Gazette for full story on Veteran Dave Rogers' experience during 9/11/01.
