Albert Carl Stephenson Sr., 89, of Shelbyville died May 14, 2025.
Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21st, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Rasnick officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Tuesday evening from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Al was born May 6, 1936, in Wolf Run, Ohio. He was a 20-year retired employee of Detroit Edison; former Mayor of Shelbyville (1995-1999); former Shelbyville City Councilman; former Lt. Governor of Bedford County Kiwanis Club; Veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of First Baptist Church of Shelbyville.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lois Faulk Stephenson; children, Albert Carl Stephenson Jr. (Debra), Sandra Renee Blessing (Ray), Lori Ann Holt (Timothy); brothers, Terry Stephenson (Amiee), George
Edward Stephenson Jr. (Michele); sister, Irene DeHetre (Kevin); five grandchildren, Jennifer Holloman, James Pellar, Chase Cunningham, Tyler Stephenson and Joshua Holt; several great grandchildren and
great-great grandchildren.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
