Funeral services for Anthony Ray Haywood will be Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home in McKenzie, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 11 a.m. until service time. Interment is at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Westport, Tennessee. Pallbearers to serve are Casey Haywood, Caleb “Cornbread” Parker, Zach Schudar, Blake Denton, Mike Yaskulski Nick Lowe, Michael Lowe, and Timothy Reed.
Mr. Haywood, 67, died December 23, 2022, at St Thomas Rutherford. He was a 1975 graduate of Antioch High School, 1979 graduate of Bethel College, 1983 graduate of Nashville State and 1993 graduate of Tennessee State University. He was born in Waverly on October 19, 1955, to Roy and Louise Lowe Haywood. He was a retired occupational therapist for the Veterans Administration.
He is survived by his wife Regina Flippin Haywood of Bell Buckle, a son, Casey (Sydney) Haywood of Bell Buckle, and two nephews, Wesley Haywood and Reese Haywood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roger Haywood.
