Betty Jean Paul, 80, of Shelbyville, TN., passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at her home in Bedford County.
She was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late James Hunter and Anna Louise Bostic. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Pilkington; granddaughter, Haleigh Stewart; grandson, Tony Dickson; granddaughter, Shannah Craft; and a great granddaughter, Jenna Addison.
Jean was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved her family and never met a stranger as many knew her as Mama Jean. Her love for gardening and cooking has been shared and passed down several generations.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Ron) Hastings and Missy Hopper; her son, Tommy Hopper; her brother, Joe Hunter; two nieces; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Bobby McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M.
