The Blue Raider duo defeated Texas Tech's Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri 7–5, 4–6, 10–8 on Day 2, then followed with a 6–3, 6–3 victory over Western Michigan's Evans and Riedel that afternoon. The pair continued their momentum with a dominant 6–1, 6–3 win over Bucknell's Amar Tahirovic and Brendan McDonald, securing their spot in the upcoming NCAA Doubles Championship.

Al-Amin and Horak ultimately went on to win the ITA Masters after defeating the ETSU duo in the final. The Blue Raiders carried that success into the NCAA Doubles Championships.
