Carl Lucky Speegle, age 69, of Shelbyville, passed this life Saturday, August 15, 2026.
He was born January 10, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Gordon Speegle, Sr. and Letha Mae Inez Speegle. In addition to his parents, Lucky is also preceded in death by his wife, Nannie M. Speegle; sons, Kristen Speegle and Lance Speegle; siblings, Jimmy Speegle, Doris Jewell, Howard Speegle, and Dale Speegle; and his great-granddaughter, Braezyleigh Burgess.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 20th and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, August 21st at Feldhaus-Gowen-Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 21st in the chapel. Interment will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Lucky worked at Tyson Foods for over 40 years. He enjoyed his leisure time fishingand smoking cigars.
Lucky is survived by his son, Josh Metcalf; daughters, Alexus Speegle “Teau”, Amber Speegle, and Elizabeth JaMet Speegle; grandchildren, Sierra Burgess, Jeffrey Burgess, Shae Gant, Carter Gant Jr., Ayden Speegle, Jaxsen Speegle, Noveah Metcalf, and Novella Metcalf; great-grandchildren, Eon Burgess, Tru’lyn Burgess, Torence Taylor, Omrii Taylor, Braxton Burgess, Kelsey Patton-Burgess, and Traestyon Burgess; and siblings, Betty Louise Burks and Roy Speegle.
