The Shelbyville Soup Kitchen received a $1,000 donation from Vulcan Materials Company’s Shelbyville unit for their Environmental Challenge Donation. Vulcan’s relationship with the soup kitchen began when they volunteered and donated items for the company’s MLK Service Day last February. Vulcan’s lead person Ryan Martin, said this is a donation partnership they hope to continue into the future for some time.
