LYNCHBURG — The Cascade Champions made it a clean sweep on Thursday night, beating all three opponents during a quad-match held at Moore County.
The hosts gave the Champs their closest match of the night, but it was Cascade who claimed a 45-20 win over the Raiders.
Cascade also took wins over Columbia Central (51-18) and Cornersville (66-12).
Against the Raiders, Cascade quickly established the momentum of the match, winning the first five individual matches.
Isaiah Smith, Taylor Dowell and Isaac Chapa all won their respective matches via pin, while Hayden Dowell won a 7-3 decision at the 182-pound weight class.
Moore County won a slim 7-4 decision at heavyweight for its first win against the Champs.
After winning via forfeit at the 120-pound class, Vayden Moore pinned his opponent in just 49 seconds in the 126-pound class.
The Raiders took a win in the 132-pound class, but saw Cascade answer with a Chase Sutter pin at the 3:29 mark in the 138-pound class.
Moore County answered with back-to-back wins, including a technical fall and a pin to close out the individual matches.
Cascade 51, Columbia Central 18
Cascade nearly pulled a clean sweep against Columbia Central and took the 51-18 win.
The Lions managed just three wins at the 145-pound class, 170-pound class and Heavyweight.
Aside from that, Cascade took four wins on the mat and added another five via forfeit to pull away from the Lions.
Isaiah Smith pinned Jeremy Bendermon in 1:23, and Hayden Dowell followed with a 6-3 decision at 182.
Isaac Chapa and Cole West both recorded wins via pin at the 195 and 220-pound classes to finish off the Lions.
Cascade 66, Cornersville 12
Much like the match against Columbia Central, Cascade dominated against the Cornersville Bulldogs and posted the 66-12 victory.
Jonathan Zuniga won a hard-fought match via pin in the first match on the mat, but Cascade answered with wins by Taylor Dwell, Hayden Dowell and Isaac Chapa.
The Champs added two more wins via forfeit before Cornersville took a win via forfeit at the 106-pound class.
Chase Sutter won the final match on the mat against Caden Bush in the 138-pound class with a pin 25 seconds in to the match.
