Clara Janis Redd May, 89, of Shelbyville died January 17, 2021.
Private family services will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cemetery.
She was a 30-year retired employee of American Can Co. and a member of Fairlane Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved quilting and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Henry Redd and Margaret Bills McKaley, her husband, Lowell W. May and a daughter, Linda Taylor.
Janis is survived by her children, Sandra May (Tony) Holloway, Michael (Linda) Lowell; three grandchildren, Clinton Dane "Clint" Holloway, Nathan Brice (Nina) Holloway; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Katherine, Jaxon and Wyatt Holloway and Josh Lunsford.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Willow Brook Hospice, 1302 N. Main St. Suite 2A, Shelbyville, TN. 37160 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
