Shelbyville Central has hired Jud Dryden as the next head football coach of the Golden Eagle football program.
Dryden takes over as head football coach after being the defensive coordinator for the Golden Eagles since the 2020 season.
He began his coaching career after playing five years as a linebacker at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill., which spans back to the mid 1990’s where he spent time coaching running backs and as a strength coach with Blackburn in the 1995-1996 seasons.
Prior to being hired at Shelbyville Central in 2020, Dryden was the defensive coordinator at Lake County from 2016-2017 followed by a stint also as the defensive coordinator at Stone Memorial in 2018-2019.
Shelbyville Central kicks off the 2022 season on Thursday, August 18 at Tullahoma.
