Eagles stay unbeaten in district

McMINNVILLE — Shelbyville Central claimed a shutout in a 3-0 win on the road at Warren County to remain undefeated in district play on Thursday evening.
“They came out early with a penalty off of a counter and our keeper Jonathan Rojas saved his second penalty of the season,” Shelbyville Central coach Chris Fritz said. “We had most of the possession and our boys controlled the tempo of the game.”
Edgar Solis came across the box for redirect goal in the first half to make the score 1-0.
Daniel Juarez followed with a long shot for a 2-0 lead.
At the beginning of the second half, Bryan Contreras drew a penalty with a dribble in the box that was converted by Edgar Solis.
‘This was our first shutout of the season and it came against a talented Warren County team, Fritz said.
The Eagles (4-4, 2-0) host Coffee County on Tuesday at home 7 for another district match.
