FAYETTEVILLE — The Cascade Lady Champions held onto an 11-8 lead after the first quarter in their matchup with the Lincoln County Lady Falcons Friday night, but their offense cooled off while Lincoln County’s got hot and stayed hot.
Not much went the Lady Champs’ way in their 59-22 loss to the Lady Falcons as they couldn’t reach a double-digit quarter after the first.
Caroline Stone led Cascade with six points on the night while Hailey Giel and Maribel de la Rosa added five of their own.
After the slow start for Lincoln County in the opening frame, they allowed only three points in the second and third quarters while putting 12 and 20 points on the board respectively.
Annalise Malone led all scorers with 24, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter.
Abby Bryan joined Malone in double-digits with 13 of her own.
Next on the schedule for the Lady Champions is the Sonic Shootout being held at White County High School from Dec. 20-22.
