Faye Vanderford Baggett, 92, of Shelbyville died Sunday, December 6, 2020.
She was born April 11, 1928 in McCalla, Alabama; a homemaker and a member of Triune Baptist Church, Arrington, TN.
She was the daughter of the late John Murphy Vanderford and Lillian Mae Kendrick Vanderford and the loving wife for 72 years of the late William Carter Baggett Sr. They grew up in Montgomery, AL. and raised their family in Nashville, TN.
Faye was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed the creative pursuits of photography and ceramics. She was an avid reader and loved playing “Words with Friends.”
She is survived by her children, William (Lynne) Baggett Jr. of Poplarville, MS.; Leigh (Clint) Butler of Shelbyville, TN.; Dru Mandelbaum of Lewisburg, TN.; nine grandchildren, Jenna (Jim), Carter (Barbie), Zane, Alexis, Amanda, Dani (Chris), Ali, Stuart (Missy), Lars and twelve great-grandchildren, Helen, Nicholas, Stella, Simon, Ryder, Kylan, Laila, Nora, Remi, Jakob, Carter, Aurora.
Per her wishes she will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassus Living Foundation.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
