Fiery crash leads to fatality

Murfreesboro Police have identified the driver who was killed in a crash Sunday morning. 

MPD's Fatal Accident Crash Team identified the driver as 62 yr old Donnie Beasley.

Fiery crash leads to fatality

Murfreesboro Police have identified the driver who was killed in a crash Sunday morning. 

MPD's Fatal Accident Crash Team has identified the driver as 62 yr old Donnie Beasley.
 
Officers responded to the intersection of Lascassas Pike and Hazelwood Drive around 5:50 a.m. where they found a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 with significant damage.  Initial investigations determined Beasley was speeding, lost control, veered off the road and landed upside down. The pickup truck then caught fire. Officers attempted to rescue Beasley but the flames were too intense. 
 
Firefighters from Murfreesboro Fire Rescue, arrived shortly after to extinguish the flames.  Beasley was pronounced dead on scene.  
 
The investigation continues by MPD's FACT investigators.
